flight risk

written under , ,
You were a paper airplane,
dreamy, folded memory.
Airy, light, in perfect form,
drifting past oceans, for me.

I was plain stationary,
simple, guarded, broken too.
Grounded heart afraid to soar,
scared it's not enough, for you.

One by courage, one through fear,
thrown off course at the outset.
Crumpled by a paperweight,
flight risks hopeless to forget.
